Where did it all start?

One day in 2018, I was going through an old pile of papers that belonged to my friend, Witold, and needed sorting. We came across a concert program. It was hand written. The handwriting was familiar, from my dear late friend across the Atlantic, and Witold's cousin, Matt. The date on the program was 1942. The program contained mostly works by Chopin. At the top of the page was printed the words Forbidden Concert...Hmm....My mind began churning - could this be a concert given in secret in Warsaw during Hitler's occupation? Matt lived in Warsaw in 1942. Hitler severely punished or killed any who went against his edict to ban Chopin's music and the music of any Polish composer. Matt attended that concert. After all my knowledge of Matt and his extraordinary family, I had to know more about these clandestine concerts. To be continued...
